Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 was launched globally in Bangkok, Thailand, on Monday (15/1). The latest middle class cellphone was previously introduced in China.
On its official website, Xiaomi claims that Redmi brings significant improvements to the camera, design, screen and processor aspects. Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 launched in 4G and 5G versions. The prices of the two variants are also different.
Redmi uses the AMOLED type for all its models. The screens of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G each have 1.5k resolution with a brightness level of up to 1,800 nits.
Meanwhile, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 have an FHD+ screen, quoted from the official website, Tuesday (16/1/2024). All five models support a 120Hz refresh rate.
To provide physical protection, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G use Corning Gorilla Glass Victur. Especially for the most premium models, they are also provided with IP68 certified water and dust protection.
In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra with a jumbo 5,000 mAh battery. Fast charging is 120W and is claimed to be able to fully charge in 19 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with a 5,100 mAh battery. Redmi Note 13 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra chipset with a 5,000 mAh battery.
Both are equipped with 67W fast charging which is claimed to take 45 minutes to fully charge the cellphone. The regular model also supports a 5,000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 comes in five variants: Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi Note 13 5G, and Redmi Note 13.
The trio of Pro variants (Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro) each have a 200MP main camera equipped with image stabilization (OIS) to provide a premium class shooting experience.
The main camera is supported by a 2x/4x lossless zoom function to capture long-distance objects in great detail.
For the regular version, the 5G and 4G versions of the Redmi Note 13 each have a 108MP main camera with 3x lossless zoom capability.
The supporting cameras for the Pro and regular variants support ultrawide (8MP) and macro (2MP) functions. Meanwhile, the camera for video calls and selfies relies on a 16MP camera.
Price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G and 5G
For prices in Bangkok, here are the details, quoted from GSMArena:
- Redmi Note 13 5G – Starting from 17,998 rupees (Rp. 3.3 million)
- Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G – Starting from 26,999 rupees (Rp. 5 million)
- Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G – Starting from 32,999 rupees (Rp. 6.2 million)
As for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 4G version, it is sold at a higher price, here are the prices:
- Redmi Note 13 4G: 250 euros for the 6 GB/128 GB variant (around IDR 4.3 million)
- Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G: 325 euros for the 8 GB/256 GB variant (around IDR 5.6 million)
- Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G: 350 euto for 12 GB/512 GB variant (around Rp. 6 million)
