Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qatar will enter its final episode by presenting Uzbekistan's final match against Japan at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, Friday (3/5/2024).
Uzbekistan and Japan finally entered and met on the day of fighting for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup title after successfully defeating their respective opponents with a final score of 2-0 last week in the semifinals.
Previously, Uzbekistan qualified for the final round of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup as well as progressing to the 2024 Olympics after beating Indonesia with a final score of 2-0 in the semifinal round, Monday (29/4/2024) evening WIB.
Meanwhile, Japan successfully advanced to the final round of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup and reached the 2024 Olympics after defeating the third place winners, Iraq with a final score of 2-0 in the last four at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, Tuesday (30/4/2024 ) early morning WIB.
Based on statistical records during the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup, Uzbekistan has been ahead in the last five matches and has never been defeated. Meanwhile, Japan lost once at the hands of South Korea in the Group B phase.
In detail, Uzbekistan has recorded 14 goals and has not conceded in the last five matches of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. Meanwhile, Japan has recorded nine goals and conceded three goals in the last five matches in Qatar.

Uzbekistan U-23 National Team coach, Timur Kapadze admitted that his team will face a difficult match against Japan. However, he emphasized that the Young White Wolf would try with all his abilities.
“We face a difficult match ahead. However, we will try to win using all our abilities and according to our plan,” said Kapadze, quoted from the AFC's official statement, Friday (3/5/2024).
“We know about Japan and Japan also knows about us. So, we have analyzed their game and each team will prepare for the final. We face a difficult and interesting match,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the coach of the Japan U-23 national team, Go Oiwa, admitted that he was sorry for his players who failed to score many goals from various opportunities throughout the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup tournament.
Nevertheless, he is confident that the progress that has been made throughout the competition will be able to lead the Blue Samurai Team to the championship podium by overthrowing Uzbekistan.
“I believe we are improving from game to game and we hope to score goals in the final. Hopefully we can win,” said Oiwa.
“We are happy to have advanced to the final and, as usual, we are focused on winning the next match. This is our last match and we hope to prepare well,” he continued.
In order to achieve the target of winning the title, Oiwa said that the Japanese U-23 National Team had made the best preparations so that it was ready to lift the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup trophy.
“Of course we remember the match two years ago, but this match is a different match. We have made good preparations and we have analyzed the Uzbekistan team and we are ready to win the match,” said Oiwa.
