Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – HODU&U Entertainment, the agency that oversees Lee Sun Kyun, announced plans to take legal action over the circulation of rumors and false information regarding their late actor.
Quoting the report Allkpopin a statement released on January 3 KST, the agency stated that they were aware of the many rumors and information circulating regarding Lee Sun Kyun, who died after inhaling smoke from briquettes on December 27, 2023.
“We have begun the process of collecting relevant data while simultaneously taking legal actions and actions,” wrote HODU&U Entertainment.
The agency was furious because of the malicious reporting surrounding the late Lee Sun Gyun by certain media over the last three months. They initially hoped that the police could carry out an investigation to uncover the truth, but now they have lost confidence in the process.

“We are now committed to immediately correcting the facts one by one,” they added.
HODU&U Entertainment also said that they had filed charges against a reporter who spread false information as if the information was factual regarding Lee Sun Kyun's death. “We are currently requesting the correction and removal of all online articles and articles whose sources are unclear or reported without proper fact checking. We urge that swift action be taken.”
The late Lee Sun Kyun was found dead in a car near a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on December 27. Before being found dead, Lee was in the process of being investigated in a drug abuse case. He has undergone three examinations for suspected use of marijuana and other illegal drugs.
In November, the 48-year-old actor admitted to taking drugs, but Lee emphasized that he took them “unknowingly” because he was trapped by a female host at an entertainment venue. However, the woman in question claimed that the actor knew what he was consuming.
Lee then requested that the police conduct polygraph tests for him and the woman to verify who was telling the truth.
