Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Prabowo-Gibran pair has officially been declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres). This means that Prabowo and Gibran will serve as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period.
Based on the official announcement by the General Election Commission (KPU) on Wednesday (20/3/2024) evening, Prabowo-Gibran received 58.6% of the vote. Far ahead of the other two candidates, namely Anies-Muhaimin (24.9%) and Ganjar-Mahfud (16%).
However, who would have thought, even though Gibran Rakabuming is the son of President Jokowi, he has experienced times of downturn. This happened when Gibran was still focused on business.
Even though he has a fairly large business, the 36 year old man admits that his journey as an entrepreneur has not always been smooth. In fact, he was once abandoned by an employee, cheated and unable to pay the bank installments.
“[Ada] Bank debt, interest cannot be paid in installments. “That's a normal thing,” said Gibran, quoted from the TikTok account @majubersamagibran.
In the same upload, Gibran also admitted that a number of his businesses had gone bankrupt. Based on research by CNBC Indonesia, four of Gibran's businesses have gone out of business, namely Goola, Ternakopi, Madhang and Siap Mas. In fact, Ternakopi went bankrupt because it didn't sell.
However, Gibran believes that ups and downs are a normal thing that all entrepreneurs experience.
“We, as entrepreneurs, often experience failure, are cheated by people or employees resign create your own brand. “That's something normal,” he stressed.
After being elected as Mayor of Solo, the politician born on October 1 1987 no longer managed his business directly and handed it over to Kaesang. Gibran admitted that he wanted to focus on community service through political channels.
