Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir plans to transform state assets in the Monas area into a very valuable area like the landmark areas of developed countries.
Erick said that under the Property Fund, the Monas area will become a charming park like Central Park in New York or Hyde Park in England.
“Under the Property Fund, Monas will become Central Park like in New York or a park like Hyde Park in England and this square will become a very high value place,” he said, citing his Instagram social media account, Thursday (4/1/2024).
This statement alludes to the Ministry of BUMN together with the Special Delivery Unit conducting a review of the 79 programs that are already running, with only 9 programs remaining.
“I want to push for completion by the end of this year,” he added.

Talking about the Property Fund, Erick said it was impossible for the BUMN Ministry to have two Ministry buildings, namely in Jakarta and IKN. So, later all BUMN assets located in the Modas area will be consolidated.
“We will move to IKN, it is impossible for BUMN to have 2 Ministry buildings and it is impossible for BUMN assets in ring 1 in the Monas area to be neglected,” he said.
Erick added that BUMN assets in the Monas area have the potential to become very valuable properties. The BUMN asset buildings other than the Ministry buildings include the Telkom, BSI, Danareksa Tower and PT PP buildings.
“Of course I will consolidate the others in this area for step 1,” he concluded.
