Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – BLACKPINK's Jisoo reportedly joined Biomom to cover solo activities after deciding not to renew her individual contract with YG Entertainment.
According to South Korean media, Xports NewsJisoo will pursue her solo career at Biomom, a company that initially operated in the field of healthy food for babies and toddlers owned by her brother, Kim Jung-hun.
The news of Jisoo's joining emerged after Biomom planned to expand into the entertainment industry. Reportedly, the management name of Biomom is Blissoo.
“Biomom recently attracted attention by revealing its entertainment business plans by posting an announcement recruiting experienced employees for Blissoo as a new business expansion concept,” wrote the Xports News report, quoted Wednesday (3/2/2024).

Previously, YG Entertainment officially announced that all BLACKPINK members had not extended their individual contracts with the agency even though they had signed contracts for group activities last Friday (29/12/2023).
“Hello, this is YG Entertainment. BLACKPINK has recently renewed their contract with YG for group activities,” wrote YG Entertainment in its release.
“And we have agreed not to continue additional contracts for the members' individual activities,” continued YG Entertainment's announcement.
Even though Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa did not renew their individual contracts with the agency, YG Entertainment admitted that it still respects this decision and is committed to continuing to support BLACKPINK and its members' activities well.
“We will do our best to support BLACKPINK's activities and we will also support the members' individual activities with a warm heart. Thank you,” concluded YG Entertainment.
By not extending their individual contracts with YG Entertainment, all activities of the four members outside BLACKPINK will no longer be under the auspices of Yang Hyun Suk's agency.
Therefore, Jisoo; Jennie; Rose; and Lisa can freely sign contracts with other agencies for promotions or individual activities. In fact, they also have the right to set up an agency, like Jennie who founded ODD ATELIER or OA.
