Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) has officially opened seven additional priority scholarship programs that prospective students can choose from. This scholarship is included in the Targeted Program.
Through this program, prospective recipients of master's and doctoral scholarships abroad have the opportunity to register for two types of scholarship programs at once. Meanwhile, the two programs in question are the LPDP partnership/cooperation scholarship program and one of the Affirmation Scholarship/Targeted Scholarship/General Scholarship programs for overseas destinations.
In priority scholarships, there are six overseas campuses that prospective students can choose from, namely.
1. Nanyang Technology University (NTU), Singapore
2. National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore
3. Campus France, France
4. University of California, Davis (UC Davis), United States (USA)
5. University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia
6. Campuses in the Netherlands that are on the list of The Orange Knowledge Program (OKP)
So, what are the seven priority scholarships that LPDP will open in 2024?
1. NTU MBA Program
The NTU MBA Program Scholarship is intended for Indonesian citizens (WNI) who work in the public sector and are interested in studying a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The duration of educational funding that students will undertake is a maximum of 12 months.
2. NTU Doctoral Program
The NTU Doctoral Program Scholarship is opened specifically for doctoral education at NTU Singapore for study programs in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and non-STEM. The study will be funded for a maximum duration of 48 months.
It is noted that there are 20 study programs to choose from, such as Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering; Communication and Information; Earth and Environmental Science; and Public Policy & Global Affairs.
3. Campus France Master's Program
The LPDP-Campus France Partnership Scholarship is a scholarship resulting from collaboration between the LPDP and the French Government for master's level in priority areas of Indonesian development in accordance with the knowledge expertise possessed by universities in France. The maximum funding duration is 24 months or two years.
4. UC Davis Doctoral Program
LPDP-UC Davis Doctoral Program Scholarship is a scholarship program resulting from collaboration between LPDP and the University of California Davis in the US to produce prospective Doctoral graduates in the fields of Agriculture, Environment, Engineering and Education.
Later, student studies will be funded for a maximum duration of 5 years. There are 19 study programs available for this scholarship, namely Atmospheric Science, Nutritional Biology, Biological Systems Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering.
5. UNSW Doctoral Program
The LPDP-UNSW Australia Scholarship is a collaborative scholarship program between LPDP and the University of New South Wales, Australia, for Doctoral candidates in the field of renewable energy and innovation. Later, studies will be funded for a maximum of 48 months.
According to LPDP, there are 32 study programs that prospective students can choose from for this scholarship, such as Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics; Microbiology and Immunology; Physiology & Pharmacology; Information Systems, Technology and Management; and Art, Design and Media.
6. Diktristek-LPDP-OKP Master's Program
Diktiristek-LPDP-OKP Master Program is a scholarship resulting from collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Diktiristek), the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP), and Nuffic Neso Indonesia. The duration of study funding through this scholarship scheme is a maximum of 16 months.
This scholarship is specifically for education in 34 fields at a number of universities abroad, such as LLM Technology Law and Innovation at the University of Groningen; MSc Spatial Planning at Utrecht University; and MA Heritage Studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
7. NUS Master's Program in Entrepreneurship
The NUS Entrepreneurship Master Program Scholarship is a cooperative funding program (Co-Funding) between LPDP and the National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise.
This scholarship aims to educate prospective entrepreneurs who want to launch a new business and develop a business through guidance for business development and access to technology owned by NUS Enterprise.
This scholarship is intended for prospective master's level students at the National University of Singapore (NUS). However, specifically for the Master of Science in Venture Creation study program in the field of Entrepreneurship. The duration of study funding for this scholarship is a maximum of 12 months, including the internship program.
Applicants for the NUS Master's Scholarship Program in Entrepreneurship are required to attach a Business Plan or Business Development according to the LPDP format.
How and Conditions to Register for LPDP 2024
Registration for the first stage of the LPDP scholarship has been open since last Thursday (11/1/2024) and closed on February 12 2024. Registration is done online or online via the LPDP scholarship registration site (https://beasiswalpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/).
The new phase two registration process will be open from June 19 to July 18 2024. For phase 1, the earliest course will be July 2024, while for phase 2 it will be January 2025.
The results of the administrative selection will be announced on March 1 2024 for stage 1 and for stage 2 on August 9 2024. Then, it will continue with talent selection on March 18-11 2024 for stage 1 and stage 2 on August 27-31 2024.
The results of the scholastic talent selection will be announced on March 27 2024 for stage 1 and stage 2 on September 5 2024. Followed by substance selection in April-May 2024 for stage 1 and stage 2 September-October 2024. The results of the substance selection will be announced on June 10 2024 stage 1 and stage 2 7 November 2024.
There are a number of regular scholarship registration requirements that prospective applicants must fulfill, namely.
1. Indonesian citizen
2. Have completed four diploma (D4) or undergraduate (S1) studies for a master's scholarship; master's program (S2) for a doctoral scholarship, or four diploma (D4) or bachelor's degree (S1) directly to a doctorate.
3. Applicants from a fourth diploma (D4) or bachelor's degree (S1) directly to a doctorate must fulfill a number of conditions, namely having an Unconditional LoA from the destination university and fulfilling all the requirements criteria as a doctoral (S3) applicant for the LPDP Scholarship.
4. Applicants who have completed master's studies (S2) are not permitted to register for the master's scholarship program and applicants who have completed doctoral studies (S3) are not permitted to register for the doctoral scholarship program.
5. Doctoral level applicants in all LPDP Scholarship programs who are graduates of specialist doctors or subspecialist doctors can use transcripts of grades of specialist doctors or subspecialist doctors as proof of fulfilling the Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) requirements for each program.
6. Attach a letter of recommendation in accordance with the requirements of each program issued no later than 1 (one) year in the same month as the scholarship application time. Recommendation letters can be submitted in two ways:
– Online Form Recommendation Letter, submitted by inputting the recommender's data through the registration application consisting of the recommender's name, agency, position, active email and cellphone number. Next, LPDP will send an email to the recommender to fill in the recommendation which is then sent (submitted) to LPDP.
– Offline Form Recommendation Letter (upload) signed by the recommender, submitted by uploading the document to the registration application and filling in data on the month and year the letter was issued or signed (example format attached).
7. Meet the requirements for the applicant's age limit on December 31 in the year of registration, namely:
– Applicants at the master's level must be at least 35 (thirty five) years old.
– Applicants for doctoral education must be at least 40 (forty) years old.
8. Upload the Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) document with the following conditions:
– Masters level applicants are required to have a GPA at the previous level of study of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent as proven by an original or legalized transcript.
– Doctoral level applicants must have a GPA at the previous level of study of at least 3.25 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent as proven by an original or legalized transcript.
– Especially for Doctoral level applicants from Master's programs without a GPA, they are required to attach a certificate from the university of origin.
9. Upload an English proficiency certificate document issued no later than the last 2 (two) years of the scholarship application year by ETS (www.ets.org), PTE Academic (www.pearsonpte.com), or IELTS (www.ielts. org) with the following conditions:
– Domestic Masters program applicants with a minimum English language proficiency score of TOEFL® ITP 500, TOEFL® iBT 61, PTE Academic 50; or IELTS™ 6.0.
– Overseas Master's program applicants, minimum TOEFL iBT® English language proficiency score of 80; PTE Academic 58; or IELTS™ 6.5.
Domestic Doctoral program applicants, minimum English proficiency score TOEFL® ITP 530, TOEFL® iBT 70, PTE Academic 50; or IELTS™ 6.0.
– Overseas Doctoral program applicants, minimum TOEFL iBT® English language proficiency score 94; PTE Academic 65; or IELTS™ 7.0.
– A valid TOEFL ITP certificate must come from an official institution administering the TOEFL ITP test in Indonesia.
10. Attach a letter of recommendation from a community figure or academic (you can choose online form or upload).
