Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Along with rapid growth in Southeast Asia, ASEAN has become one of the largest and most dynamic economic regions in the world. However, despite significant economic progress, challenges related to economic inequality still exist, especially at the grassroots level. In many ASEAN countries, the majority of the population still depends on economic sectors based on SMEs, agriculture and other informal sectors.
So what new steps need to be implemented to encourage inclusive economic growth at the grassroots level in ASEAN, the region that includes Indonesia and other countries in the Southeast Asia region?
